When the holocaust ended, democratic Canada, supposedly a nation of immigrants, only admitted 5,000 European Jews looking for refugee. in 1948, it admitted 8,000 more. Canada failed to past the test of civilization, during the holocaust and after the holocaust, and this was a failure of democracy.
