The first nonfiction book by acclaimed Vancouver poet Wayde Compton where he repositions the NA discussion of race in the wake of tumultuos twetieth centruy. It riffs on the concept of Canada as the promised land (Canaan) encoded in Africain Americain myth and song and dance since the days of slavery.
